The Motivation Needed – Cousin Time

Monday was a day that Cole took 3 steps and spent all day in bed. Tuesday was cousin time! It’s incredible how much Cole wants to do what all the other kids are doing and be part of it. He wanted to be outside, he took 40 plus steps, laid in a hammock, and even sat in his swing.

He truly loves his cousins and that’s all he needed to motivate him to do as much as his little body was capable of doing.

He insisted on his Auntie coming in his room and reading him “The Bad Seed” his favorite book of all time. All in all it was an incredible day and he had incredible perseverance to take some major steps in the right direction. It’s the exact medicine he needed! He took the best nap for 3 hours and had his best night of sleep so far since before surgery.

The late afternoon consisted of Mommy/Daughter grass manicure. Who would’ve thought you could paint on real grass clippings for your nails? I guess you learn something new everyday, even from your 8 year old.
